Franky Wilson

Franky Carl Wilson, 70, of Columbus, died at 8 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 following an illness.

Born January 20, 1951 in Columbus, Franky was the son of Leo Carl and Cleora Marie (Cavin) Wilson. He was a lifetime resident of Columbus. Franky worked for the City of Columbus for 30 years before his retirement. He attended the House of Prayer in Riverton. Franky enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.

Franky and Deborah Lee Spencer were united in marriage October 16, 1970 in Columbus. She survives. In addition to his wife, Franky is survived by one daughter, Angela Best, of Columbus; one brother, Ricky Wilson, of Columbus; three sisters, Kay Gary, of Columbus, Linda Ray (Edgar), of Galena and Patsy Jones, of Carl Junction, Mo. and half-brother, Jimmy Wilson, of Miami, Okla. Four grandchildren, Jacob Brown of Columbus, Breanna Harughty of Chetopa, Cassie Hollis, of Fairview, Okla. and Roxanne Glebus, of Ardmore, Okla. along with 14 great-grandchildren also survive.

Franky was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Wilson and Billy Wilson; two sisters, Shirley Kinman and Margaret Ann Miller; one half-brother, Francis Wilson; and two half-sisters, Henrietta Maxton and Betty Stice.

Franky was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, of Columbus for cremation.
