Howard Raymond Outt, 91, of Riverton, died suddenly, February 8, 2021.
Born May 5, 1929 in Crestline, Howard was, the eldest son of Howard Outt, Sr. and Grace May (Kreiger) Outt. He was a graduate of Riverton High School with the class of 1947. Two weeks later, he joined a friend and journeyed to Shoshone, Idaho where he was employed as a migrant farm worker harvesting beans. He understood about hard work.
In 1948, he journeyed to Indiana, where he met Betty Ann King, to whom he was married May 7, 1949. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, from where he retired in 1991.
Howard was preceded in death by by two brothers, Nelson Outt and Frank Outt.
He is survived by two brothers, Kenneth Outt of Galena and Robert Outt of Neosho, Mo.; a sister, Mary Lou Householder of Nevada, Mo.; sons, Thomas Outt of San Francisco, Calif. and Kevin Outt of Phoenix, Ariz. and daughter-in-law Mary Outt. Two grandchildren, Allison Cart and Tyler Outt and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Daymin, Bailey and Prescot, all of Indiana also survive.
The burial was Friday, February 12, at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Galena. Due to inclement weather, the burial was a private graveside service.
