Jack Walden

Jack Walden, 81, of Baltimore, Maryland, died November 26, 2021. He was a beloved brother, father and friend. Born September 19, 1940 in Curranville, Jack was the son of Jack and Marjorie Hardesty Walden. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother Kenneth.

His early years, Jack spent his time in Mulberry and Crestline. He was a graduate of Cherokee County Community High School.

After graduation from CCCHS, Jack immediately joined the Navy as his father and uncles had done. During his navy years, Jack became a Corpsman and primarily served on destroyers as an Independent Duty Corpsman. He spent a year in Vietnam serving with the Marine Corps. He retired as a Chief Hospital Corpsman.

Jack had planned his future well and completed a new school at Pennsylvania State as a Physicians Assistant, one of the first licensed in Maryland. As a PA, Jack worked with private physicians and finished his work with retirement from the Veterans Administration.

Jack was united in marriage to Patsy Poole. Six children were born to this union, Kathleen, Lyle, Dorothy, Shawn, Patrick and Christoper. All survive. Jack and Pat eventually went their separate ways.

After retiring from the Navy Jack met and married Nancy Greaves and they setup their house with her daughter Dawn. Nan preceded Jack in passing.

Two brothers, David and Rick also survive as well as grandchildren, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jack loved people and there are many friends that grieve with us.

At a later date a Celebration of Life will occur in Mulberry where many family members rest.
