James Stanley Shaw, 83, of Carl Junction, died Thursday morning, December 16, 2021. Born June 5, 1938 in Lamar, Mo., Jim was the son of James Frank Shaw and Bernice Marie (Simmons) Shaw. He was a proud farmer all of his life and worked at Sears, Roebuck and Company from the age of 18 until his retirement. He then worked for many years with Crossland Construction Company in Columbus, where he was loved by all.
A faithful member of Frisco Church of Webb City Jim served as a board member for many years.
Jim and Rolena Jane Lambeth were united in marriage April 25, 1957 in Miami, Okla. She survives.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, Jim is survived by three children, James Douglas Shaw and Kimberley Gay Southern (Mike) both of Carl Junction, Mo. and Shonda Kay Crossland (Bennie) of Joplin, Mo. Four grandchildren, Ashley Southern-DeVoe, Katherine Lynn Grisolano, James Jordan Shaw, Collin Michael Crossland; along with seven great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service will be Monday, December 20, at 11 a.m.. at Frisco Church of Webb City. Pastor Matt Snyder will officiate. Private family interment will be in Nashville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Frisco Church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Overcoming Children Fund.
