Janelle Renee Dewey, 41, of Savannah, Mo., died Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born January 7, 1981, in Pittsburg, Janelle was the daughter of James and Patty (Thompson) Hodgson.
Janelle and Tracey “Trey” Dewey were united in marriage July 15, 2015. He survives of the home.
Janelle graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2006. Janelle was employed in small animal clinics in Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.
Janelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mae Hodgson and Donald and Hazel Thompson.
In addition to her husband, Trey, Janelle is survived by her parents, James and Patty Hodgson; son, Jax Ovie Dewey; brother, James Ogden Hodgson (Cori); stepsons, Tim Dewey (Danielle), Austin Dewey and Dylan Dewey; and three step-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Scammon School December 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jax Ovie Dewey Education Fund.
