Larry Lee King, 78, of Quapaw, Okla., died Sunday, March, 13, 2022. Born January 26, 1944, in Columbus, Larry was the son of Charles King and Olive Williams King. He was the youngest and last of the King Boys growing up on the family farm known as King’s Hill southeast of Columbus. He graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1962. He then attended Joplin Junior College and Pittsburg State University. During high school and college, he enjoyed playing bass guitar in his band, The Cavaliers.
Larry and Linda Cottrell were united in marriage December 3, 1966, in Baxter Springs. Larry worked construction with his dad and uncles. He started his own business in 1969 when he and Linda moved to the Quapaw, Okla. area. They enjoyed over 50 years in their home on Spring River.
Larry was a former member and chairman of the Ottawa County Floodplain Board and a current and proud member of the Eastside Baptist Church. He served as Deacon and Charter Trustee and was honored as Deacon Emeritus in November 2017. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one sis

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda, of the home; daughter, Candice Robinson (husband, Bridger); and one grandson, Chandler, all of Owasso, Okla.; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A graveside service was held Thursday, March 17 at
