Latasha Michelle Huitger, 39 of Concord, North Carolina, died February 4, 2022. Born in Baxter Springs, January 5, 1983, Tasha was the daughter of Gayla “Rose” Rider. She is preceded in death by her mother, Galya “Rose” Rider, brother, Eric Rider and grandmother, Doris Imogene Sharbutt and grandfather, Ed Rose
Tasha is survived by her aunt, Missy Hall (husband Mike), sister, Shelby Minnick, husband/best friend Eric Huitger, aunt Jana Luper and aunt Pamela Danley (husband Russell). Also cousins Aimee Bohannan, Robbie Bohannan, Rusty Danley, Kerri Cheater, Brittney Collins, Kandace Oakley and Cory Seller. Step dad, Bryen Rider; uncle, Brandon Rider; aunt, Terri Ritter.
Tasha moved to Concord, NC in 2008. She was a big Oklahoma University fan and loved her Sooners. She worked in sales and excelled in her work. She truly cared for and loved everyone she worked with. She loved all sports and was very fortunate to have met many athletes, including Luke Kuechly and Kyle Petty. At one time she was a huge Jeff Gordon fan, until he retired. She followed him for many years, going as far as buying tires he signed from his car. Sports was one of the main loves of her life. She stood at 4’10” and had the most memorable dimples when she smiled. She was known as a firecracker by all. She will truly be missed.
A service will be held Saturday February 12, at 2 p.m. at Derfelt’s Funeral Home in Baxter Springs. In lieu of flowers, any contributions to the funeral service can be made to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
