Luellen “Lue” Frazier, 82, of Galena died at 5:40 a.m., Monday, November 8, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo. following an illness.
Born January 27, 1939 in Baxter Springs, Lue was the daughter of Junior Leon and Fannie Lee (Curl) Duncan. She had lived in Cherokee County all of her life. Lue was a member of Tennessee Prairie Church, in Galena.
A certified medical assistant, Lue had worked at Galena Nursing Center and Quaker Hill Nursing Home. She had also been employed at LaBarge, in Joplin, Mo. She retired as a cook at the Galena schools. She loved yardwork, growing flowers and her vegetable garden.
Lue and Bill Frazier were united in marriage March 18, 1964 at Lowell. He preceded her in death May 21, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Norman, Bob, Gene, Mike and Leon Duncan.
Lue is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She cared for numerous children and called them all hers.
She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, of Galena. for cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, in Galena at a later date.
