Mooreen Leeneaun Jones 87, of Keokuk, Iowa died 4 p.m. Thursday January 6, 2022 at the River Hill Village Nursing Home following an illness. Born February 12, 1934, in Crestline, Mooreen was the daughter of Vernon Zane and Leafy Jessie (Randall) Gaston. She attended and graduated from area schools.
Mooreen and Walter Thomas Jones were united in marriage December 21, 1951 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death July 22, 2015. In addition to her husband, Mooreen was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Thomas Jones.
Mooreen worked as a homemaker; a book-keeper for Tom Jones Roofing; Avon Beauty products and the Parsons Ammunition Plant. Mooreen was a member of the First Christian Church. She loved gambling and her grandkids. Mooreen is survived by her children Linda McCoy
Mooreen is survived by her children Linda McCoy of Owasso, Okla., Deborah Coffey (husband Kenny) of Carterville, Mo., Thomas Jones of Keokuk, Iowa and Darla West (husband John) of Charlotte, North Carolina. Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday January 15, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir. Pastor Al Plant will officiate. Burial will follow at the Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir. Family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service. Condolences may be left at www. bathnaylor.com.
