Patrica Ann Brown-Rakestraw, 54, of Cherokee, died April 19, 2023 at Via Christi Medical Center in Pittsburg.
Born June 3, 1968 in Kansas City, Mo., Patricia was the daughter of Noel and Janice Rakestraw.
Patricia was a Paramedic for Parsons Emergency Medical Services for 10 plus years in her early years. She enjoyed spending her free time outdoors, fishing, tending to horses and playing with her grandchildren. Her biggest passion was her family.
Patricia is survived by her mother Janice Rakestraw of the home, her son Bryan Allen and his wife Ashley and their three sons Kayden, Conner, and Bryar; her son Travis Allen and his wife Keele and their three sons Karter, Kanon, Ketcher and their soon to be daughter Kora; her son Aaron Lake and his wife Jessica Lake and their daughter Laney, brothers Kenneth Rakestraw and Michael Rakestraw both of Pittsburg, and a close friend Kevin Malle of Cherokee.
She was preceded in death by her father Noel Rakestraw and her late husband Tom Brown.
A Memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church of Cherokee in Cherokee April 23, with a dinner following at the Cherokee Community Center. Condolences may be left at Midlandcremation.com. Donations for the family can be left at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee.
