Paul Wayne Spencer, 66 of Oswego, died at 7:20 p.m. in Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

Born November 4, 1954, Paul was the son of Clarence Alvin Spencer and Dorothy Louella (Pugh) Spencer. He had been a lifetime resident of Southeast Kansas, living in Columbus, Weir and Oswego. He worked as a self-employed handyman, completing countless painting and carpentry projects throughout the area. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and caring for his cats and dogs.

Paul and Brenda Perry were married and later divorced. He then married Viva (Tash) Roberts, and they later divorced. Paul is survived by one son, Shawn Spencer of Com

Paul is survived by one son, Shawn Spencer of Commerce, Okla.; three daughters, Samantha Spencer of Columbus, Mistie Spencer-Sexton (husband, Dave) of McCune and Kelli Long of Fort Scott; two step-daughters, Melissa Ridley-Jewett of Hallowell and Christy Roberts-Montgomery (husband, Michael) of Arma; as well as twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy Spencer; one brother Raymond Spencer; and two daughters, Melissa and Tina. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday,
