Alice Louise Holland, 75, of Kansas City, Mo., died October 2, 2022. Born March 4, 1947, in Columbus, Alice was the daughter of Russell and Leone Frobish. They preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Cherokee County Rural High School with the class of 1965.

Charles Ray Bowman, 82, of Joplin, Mo., died Thursday, October 13, 2022, at his home. Born January 6, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisianan, Charles was the son of J.C. Bowman and Vera Fritchy Bowman. They preceded him in death . He was also preceded in death by one son, Bruce Bowman.

Rodger Lane

Rodger Dale Lane, 64 of Exeter, Mo., died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin. Born in California November 12, 1957, Rodger was the son of Samuel Lane and Betty (Cupp) Lane. He had lived in the four-state area since his early childhood.

Patrick Price

Patrick Allen Price, 78 of Carl Junction, Mo., died Friday, October 14, 2022. A loving father and dedicated husband, Pat passed peacefully at his home with his wife and three daughters by his side. He will be greatly missed and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of family and friends.

Donald Wayne Leas, 76, of Galena, died at 12:22 a.m. Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Galena Nursing Center following an illness. Born May 7, 1946, in Joplin, Mo., Don was the son of Floyd Daniel and Crystal Daphine (Fisher) Leas. He had lived in Galena most of his life.

Robert Grant

Robert P. “Bob” Grant, 84 of Scammon, died Tuesday October 18, 2022 at the Medicalodge in Columbus. Born June 2, 1938 in Moorhead, Iowa, Bob was the son of Robert M. and Mardell (Anderson) Grant. They preceded him in death. Bob and Linda Westervelt were united in marriage April 18, 1959.

Robert Fruit, Jr., Overland Park

Robert Paul Fruit, Jr., died peacefully October 9, 2022 with loved ones at his side. Born July 2, 1937, at home on N. Ohio St. in Columbus, Bob was the first child and son of Robert Paul Fruit, Sr. and Florence Louise (Kelley) Fruit. They preceded him in death. Bob attended Park School in Columbus.

Wayne Bays, 84, Fort Scott

Wayne E. Bays, 84, of Fort Scott and formerly of Thayer, died at 11:40 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Medicalodges in Fort Scott. Born June 22, 1938 in rural Labette County, Wayne was the son of Nova Henry Bays and Lora Alice (George) Bays.
