An Achilles heel situation for the Baxter Springs Lions resulted in a loss to the Trojans, 46-23, Tuesday in Girard. The Lions had too many turnovers, costing themselves any chance of a win.
The first quarter ended with Girard leading 19-7. In the period, sophomore, Weston Shafer, hit a three pointer and seniors, Kamo Williamson and Garett Paxson each had a field goal.
