The Lady Lions of Baxter Springs have nine young student-athletes out for softball with six returning starters.
The team will have a busy first week with a varsity double header on Monday against visiting Sarcoxie, Missouri. They have varsity/junior varsity games at home against Labette Count, Tuesday.
