Wetterstrom places second at Div I State

Senior, Erin Wetterstrom, Olathe-East High School placed second at the KSHSAA Girls Division I Championship, February 25, at Hartman Arena, Park City. Wetterstrom entered the Class 5-6A tournament in the 101-pound weight class undefeated at 18-0 for the season.

The CCCCJL League held their end of season tournaments, Monday, February 22, after extremely cold weather postponed them from the week before. The eighth was originally scheduled for Monday the 15 and the seventh grade were slated for the 18.

The Columbus Titans earned a spot in the Kansas Class 3A Sub-State Semifinal with their first-round win, 57-43, over the second seeded, Chargers (15-4) in Cherryvale, Tuesday night. The underdog Titans (9-10) traded turnovers to start the game.
