As a clinical professor at my state’s medical school, I frequently have medical students seeing patients with me in clinic. While the majority of patients are happy to allow student involvement, some decline.

Summer lunch program needs your help

Dear Editor We would like to thank the community for their help with the Summer Lunch Program being held at the Parish Hall Monday through Friday, 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This is run totally by volunteers giving their time and talents. We serve all with no discrimination.

25 Years Ago July 10 - 16, 1997 The 1997 State 4-H Horse Judging Contest was held at Kansas State University. Shiloh Williams placed tenth in the intermediate division. Also judging from Cherokee County were Kala Harrington, Ryan Harrington, Robbie Carpino and Zack Robinson.

Me and Punkin took in Duncan Winslow’s Pancake Breakfast on Saturday. The event was red letter cause Duncan had two celebrities booked. Mrs. Butterworth, now Ms. Butterworth, was there, along with former Scottish actress, Heather Ripley. She played the little girl role in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
