The Columbus Public Library will be open to the public, with a five person limit. Mondays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m-6 p.m. Thursdays 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Fridays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. Curbside service will be available upon request.

A visit to International Crane Foundation

On our recent bus trip one of the stops we made was a visit to the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisc. I think we have all observed the Sandhill Cranes that are so prevalent at different times of the year as they migrate through our area and enjoy our wetlands area.

Just couldn’t get the pet food to light

Hope you had a great Independence hollerday. We had us a parade sporting pretty gals riding floats and old geezers in jeeps pulling the floats through town. There were fireworks on Independence Day, once it got dark in the town rectangle.

Bring home memories, not ticks

Recently our family went on a camping trip. Our kids loved how we canoed our supplies across a lake and set up our campsite. My wife and I were reminded how much work it is. Soon our children were experiencing more mosquitos, flies, caterpillars, and ticks than they had ever seen before.
