Columbus Public Library Hours

The Columbus Public Library will be open to the public, with a five person limit. Mondays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m-6 p.m.. Thursdays 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Fridays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. Curbside service will be available upon request.

Beauty pageant held at local high school

Me and Punkin took in the beauty pageant at the high school Saturday night. We got there early; it always gets full up quick. We didn’t know any of the contestants, so we didn’t have a dog in the fight. I don’t mean the girls ain’t pretty.

What is mankind’s greatest need? Some might say oxygen or maybe food and water, or any other item that is of a physical sort. However, the Bible makes plain one definite need, and that would be one that is spiritual in nature. What is desperately required is mercy. The reason for this is obvious.

25 Years Ago March 20 - 26, 1997 The weather turned off great for the season opener and the Columbus High School girls used good pitching to sweep a pair of softball games at Riverton. The Lady Titans won the first game 3 to 1 and then exploded for a 13 to 2 victory in the nightcap.
