Harold Shideler received his 65 year membership pin and certificate in the AF&AM lodge Tuesday, March 21. Tom Circle, Secretary of Parsons AF&AM #117, presented these to Shideler at his home. There were 15 family members present for the occasion. Shideler became a member of the McCune AF&AM # 232 in 1958. He transferred to Parsons when McCune closed. He filled different chairs and was Past Master twice. He remains a loyal supporter at age 94. Courtesy photo.

Over Spring Break, the Southeast Kansas Lutheran Youth Service Retreat was held March 12-14 in Oswego. This year, junior high and high school age youth worked together to clean up brush and refurbish grave markers at the historic Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
