Inaugural police barbecue a success

Columbus Police Department hosted the first Police, Pork and Pride barbecue contest during Columbus Days. The overall winner was Nate Long with Cookin-N-Khakis, winning first place in three categories. Three entrants claimed bragging rights for their barbecue skills.

Fundraiser for Campbell, Richards set

A pulled pork sandwich dinner is planned for Susan Soper Campbell and John Richards Wednesday, October 26 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building. Menu will consist of pulled pork sandwich, chips, dessert and a drink for a donation. Carry out and delivery. Call 620-674-1612 day of dinner.

Register now for Zombie 5K

Get out your best costume and join the Titan Band Zombie 5K Run Saturday, October 29. This will be the second year for the event and the route is a certified course. Come run, crawl or creep your way along the route. Register at www.titanband.
