A benefit dinner is being held for the Ben, Heather and Benny Metcalf in the 4-H Building Friday, January 23, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.The family lost everything in a recent house fire, all of the funds raised will assist with housing and clothing.

Rumble strips to be installed in County

The contractor will begin adding rumble strips in multiple locations this week on highways in four southeast Kansas counties, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.The project started yes-terday, Monday, January 12, and the work should be completed in March, conditions permitting.
