Lady Tigers edge Columbus JV

The Columbus Junior Varsity Lady Titan Team started with a 2-0 lead but were edged by their host Lady Tigers, 3-2, Thursday in Fort Scott.Freshman, Bentley Townsend, led off with a double but was put out on a fielder’s choice play by freshman, Tatum Kirk.

Carpino first, Smiley third at Pittsburg

Lady Titan Seventh Grader, Cali Carpino, placed first in the girl’s division in the Pittsburg Golf Tournament, Monday, at the Four Oaks Golf Course shooting a 44 for the day. Fallon Smiley, seventh grader, placed third with a score of 51, just one stroke out of second place.

Lady Titans tame Lady Bulldogs

The Columbus Lady Titans continued their sweep of CNC League teams with a double header win over Galena, Monday, at Rockette Field. In a pair of run-rule wins, Columbus won the first game 10-0 and finished the sweep with a four inning, 15-0, win in the night cap.

Titan Golf second in BHS Invite

The Columbus Titan Golf Team took second place in the Baxter Springs Invitational, Monday. Columbus edged St. Mary’s-Colgan by one stroke in the team standings, compiling a 372 total, behind Frontenac in first place with a team total of 353.

Lady Lancers set new school record

The Southeast High School Lady Lancer 4x800 Meter Relay Team set a new school record in a recent meet. Team members, Kimrey, Renn, White, and Rimmer ran a time of 11:06 minutes to set the new school mark. 

Titans take on SEK League foes at Indy

The Columbus Titan Golf Team played against their former SEK League foes in a tournament at Independence, April 4.Columbus placed eighth out of 11 SEK and CNC League Teams participating with a team total of 386. Independence took the team title with a total of 316.

Titans split CNC League bout with visiting Bulldogs

The Columbus Titans split their home CNC League varsity double header with Galena, 6-5, 0-3, Monday, at Bomber Field.Junior, Syler Schuberger, got the start on the mound for the Titans.

Lady Titan JV sweeps road trip

The Columbus Lady Titan Junior Varsity Softball Team traveled to Galena, Tuesday, and swept a pair of CNC League games, 11-0 and 4-0.A three runs or three outs format was used in both games.Freshman, Bentley Townsend, led off the first game for Columbus with a single.

Titan of the Week

Lady Titan Junior, Hailey Ediger, tossed a no-hitter in the CNC League opener against Baxter Springs, April 2, at Rockette Field and followed with a perfect game at Cherryvale, Thursday. She is being recognized as Titan of the Week.
