Addison Saporito former Columbus Lady Titan Wrestler and Aileen Lester, freshmen at Ottawa University led the Lady Braves in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Women’s Wrestling Tournament in Jamestown, North Dakota, Friday.

Lady Panthers third in Class 2A

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panther win streak and quest for a state another state title came to an abrupt halt Friday in Dodge City with a 40-48 loss in the Kansas Class 2A State Semi-final game to Wichita-The Independent (20-3).

CNC Teams play in state tournaments

The CNC League sent three teams to the Kansas Class 2A and 3A State Basketball Tournaments last week. The Riverton Rams boys team (17-6) travelled to Hutchinson to represent the CNC League in the Class 3A Tournament.

Columbus Cal Ripken League still taking signups.Although the two designated dates for in-person sign-ups have passed, players can still sign up and pay their fee by March 28.League officials have posted a form on their Columbus Cal Ripken Baseball League facebook page.

Lady Titan Senior, Brooklyn Lima, became the first Columbus Wrestler invited to the Kansas Shrine Duals. She is being recognized a Titan of the Week.Lima joins 14 other senior wrestlers on the East Squad in the inaugural Kansas Shrine Dual event.

Titan Baseball golf fundraiser

The Titan Baseball Team is hosting their third annual golf tournament to raise funds for the season. Saturday, April 20, teams of two will take the course at Brush Creek for the 18hole event to support the Titans.

Cassidy recognized on Sr. Night

Former Columbus Titan standout athlete, Patrick Cassidy, was recognized Tuesday night during the Kansas University Senior Night Celebration.The Jayhawks avenged an earlier, overtime, loss to the Kansas State Wildcats with a 90-68 win over their instate rivals.
