Lady Wrestlers recognized on Sr. Night

Six Lady Titan Senior Wrestlers were recognized during their final home dual, Thursday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Coaches Mike Bowman and Marcus Bowman recognized seniors, Grace Noel, Brooklyn Lima, Mady Garcia, Taryn Billings, Kassidy Fox, and Katie Simpson.

Bowman, Smith place at Battle of the Belt

Two members of the Columbus Wrestling Club placed at the Battle of the Belt in Mulvane, Saturday. The large tournament is one of the toughest in the state and it is a big accomplishment to place in the multi-state event.

Chanute wins final home dual

Two open weights on the Lady Titans roster were the difference in their 3648 loss to Chanute in their final home dual, Thursday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Six Lady Titan Seniors were recognized during Senior Night ceremonies by Titan Head Coach, Marcus Bowman and assistant girls coach, Mike Bowman.

CUHS Winter Homecoming Court

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers moved to 16-0 to keep their undefeated record intact following a, 53-24, win over the Lady Titans in Columbus, Friday. The homecoming loss put the Lady Titans at 7-7 on the season.

Titans lose homecoming to Panthers

The Columbus Titans lost their homecoming game against St. Mary’s-Colgan, 58-29, Friday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Following a lackluster first half, Columbus was unable to capitalize on their defensive stop of the Panthers in the third quarter and they were unable to rebound to save the game.

Titan of the Week

Columbus Titan Kash Smith went 10-1 in two tough wrestling tournaments over the weekend, taking first place and second place. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week. Kash, an eighth grader at Columbus Junior High School and a member of the Titan Wrestling Team.

Natalini takes second in Battle of the Dome

Four Columbus Mini Wrestlers competed in the Battle at the Dome at Webb City, Mo., Saturday. Lucas Natalini placed second in the ten and under, 75-pound weight class for the Mini Titan Club. Rhett Tedlock, Jack Jessee, and Briggs Johnson each earned points toward the team standings.

Ten Titan Wrestling Club members earned first place medals at the Woods Classic Tournament, Sunday.

Lady Titan, 3-8 Volleyball Camp

The Columbus Lady Titan Volleyball Team will host a month-long camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays for USD 493 students in grades 3-8, beginning Monday, February 19. The first day of camp is being held on Monday due to home high school basketball games, Tuesday. Grades three-five will meet from 5:30 p.

Riverton overpowers Columbus Titans

The Riverton Rams increased their win record to 10-3, after overpowering the Columbus Titans, 7251, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gym. The Rams put points on the scoreboard first and continued to build on that lead throughout the game.
