Lady Titan Senior, Brooklyn Lima, took first place in the Fourth Annual Washburn Women`s Invitational, Saturday, in Topeka. She is being recognized as Titan of the Week. Lima is currently ranked third in the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association weekly rankings in class 4-1A with a 25-3 record.

O’Banion first at Seneca’s 60th Tourney

Titan Freshman, Mason O’Banion, earned a first place win at the 60th People`s Bank of Seneca Wrestling Tournament, Saturday. Mason is currently ranked fourth in the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association’s weekly rankings.

Scott recognized on Senior Night

Titan Senior, Dallas Scott, was recognized at the Titans last home duals with Cherryvale and Parsons, Thursday. Dallas is a four-year member of the Titan Wrestling Team. Coaches congratulating him are Zach Porter, Kale Smith, Casey Garvin, and Marcus Bowman.

Rec Basketball to Riverton Saturday

The Columbus Recreation Youth Basketball League will play at Riverton, tomorrow, beginning at 8 a.m. Three gyms will be utilized for six games on each court. A three-dollar entry fee will be taken for adults. There is no charge for students. Fieldhouse 8 a.m. Fifth Girls 8:50 a.m.

Lady Titans tame Lady Bulldogs

The Columbus Lady Titans hosted Galena, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The Lady Titan breezed to a, 52-22, win to tame the Lady Bulldogs in a CNC League match-up. Both teams started slow, trading three pointers in the first minute.

Galena holds off Columbus for CNC win

The Columbus Titans entertained the Galena Bulldogs, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gym for a CNC League contest. Bulldog Junior, Jack Perry, set the tone for the Bulldogs with back-toback three pointers to start the game.

Three Junior Titans added to the 10,000 shot club

Elijah Shoemaker, Ruby Ellis and Ally Walters have been putting in the work on the court at the Red Iron Activity Center, honing their skills by shooting 10,000 shots over the last few months. Each player keeps a log for each day they shoot including the number of shots made.

Lady Titans win by tie-breaker

A tie breaker resulted in a win for the Columbus Lady Titan Wrestling Team over Fort Scott, January 18, in Fort Scott. After all matches had been contested, the score was tied, 4242. Columbus had seven near falls to take the win in the tie breaker process.

Titans split double dual at Ft. Scott

The Columbus Titans split double dual wrestling matches in Fort Scott, January 18. The Titans took a big win over Iola, 60-12, but lost to their host, 27-40. Columbus sophomore, Cal Saporito, was the lone wrestler to win both matches without the aid of forfeit. Iola gave up four matches to forfeit.
