Rams 4-1 after big win over Titans

The Riverton Rams moved to 4-1 on their young season with a 67-37 win over the visiting, Columbus Titans, Friday, in Riverton.Following a buzzer beater win, Tuesday, at St. Mary’s-Colgan, the Rams were able to close out their pre-Christmas schedule with a home win.

Riverton wins Jr. Varsity, C contests

The Columbus Titans closed the point spread in the junior varsity and C games at Riverton, Friday, but were unable to pick up a win over their host Ram teams.The Riverton Junior Varsity won by 20 points, 51-31 while the C Team got past Columbus, 47-40.

Lady Chargers win despite slow start

Lucus Natalini, Columbus Wrestling Club, took first place in the ten and under, 80-pound class at the 2024 Diamond Youth Wrestling Open Tournament Saturday in Diamond, Mo. Briggs Johnson placed second in the 10U, 100-pound class as the lone Titans to place in the event.

Cherryvale JV edges Lady Titans

A visiting Lady Chargers Team from Cherryvale overcame a slow start to get past the Lady Titans, 31-27, in Columbus, Tuesday.Four free throws by the Lady Titans gave them a 6-3 start in the girl’s junior varsity game.

Busy wrestling weekend on tap

Columbus has a full slate of wrestling on tap for the weekend starting this afternoon with the Columbus High School Lady Titans hosting the Columbus Duals Tournament. Ten teams will be on the mats today beginning at 1 p.m. for a two-pool, round-robin tournament.

Comeback fails in junior varsity loss

A 23-point fourth quarter drive was not enough for the Columbus Titan Junior Varsity as they failed to get the comeback and win Tuesday at the Central School Gymnasium. The visiting Cherryvale Chargers held on to their 21 point halftime lead and got the narrow win, 61-54 in the fast paced game.

The Columbus Titans picked up their first home win of the season with a 63-40 victory over Cherryvale, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gymnasium.
