Britt wins at Kan-Okla Tournament

Lady Titan Senior, Emily Britt, opened her 2024 campaign with a win in the 140-weight class of the Caney Valley Kan-Okla Wrestling Tournament, Friday night in Caney.The ten Lady Titans competing in the first tournament of the season tied for seventh in team standings with 83 points.

Panthers win JV opener over Titans

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers took the 2024 home opener win, 67-25, over the host Columbus Titans, Friday at the Central School Gym.Columbus scoring was consistent, but there just wasn’t enough of it against a high scoring opponent.

The Lady Titan Junior Varsity had a tough home opener, Friday night at the Columbus High School Gymnasium when they lost to the visiting Lady Panthers from St. Mary’s-Colgan, 48-11.

Titans open 2024 in Caney Tourney

Carlson Britt was the lone varsity competitor for the Columbus Titans in the Kan-Okla Wrestling Tournament, Saturday. Carlson placed third in his weight class.The event is hosted by Caney Valley High School who took second in the tourney with 22 wrestlers earning 147 team points.

Panthers win in Titans preamble

A big first quarter for the visiting St. Mary’s-Colgan was nearly enough to secure the win over the Columbus Titans in their home opener, Friday, at the CUHS Gym. The Panthers eventually took the win, 66-30.

The Sixth Annual Ken Jones Classic Wrestling Tournament is approaching, December 22 at the CUHS Gymnasium.Registration for the yearly tournament hosted by the Columbus Wrestling Club are currently being taken.A morning and an afternoon session are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

The Columbus Titan C Team faced the St. Mary’s Colgan Panthers in their 2024 home opener, Friday, at the Central School Gymnasium.Colgan started strong and didn’t let up until the final quarter, putting up 18, first quarter points to three in the fourth to take a 6720 victory over the home team.

A big fourth quarter for the home team wasn’t enough to overcome a deep hole, handing the visiting, Columbus Lady Titan 8A Team, a 17-15 win in Baxter Springs, Monday.Free throws sealed the win for Columbus with two Lady Titans hitting .500 in the fourth quarter.
