Mondays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m-6 p.m. Thursdays 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Fridays 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. Curbside service will be available upon request.

A going away party held Friday for Betha Elliott as she leaves her post at Cherokee County Heath Department director after 36 years with the department. Attending the party were Carolyn Miller, retired administrator at the Montgomery County Health Department and Debbi Baugher, retired director of the Labette County Health Department. The three long time friends have all retired in the same year.

Chapter BT PEO hears about Cowtown Days

In anticipation of Cowtown Days weekend, the Monday, May 1 meeting of Chapter BT of P.E.O. International used that as the theme. The tables were decorated with cowboys, horses, boots, and cows.

A former Columbus resident, Bruce J. Robinson, is graduating with a Law Degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Graduation is scheduled for May 12. Robinson is the son of Jannell Robinson of Columbus and has a brother, Rob Mikowlski of Galena.

A Junior Day tournament was hosted by the Baxter Springs Disc Golf Club recently. A total of 49 youngsters signed up from eight-17 years old. Players went through a four stage clinic learning etiquette, throwing techniques, putting technique, and disc types.
