Lady Titan C Team falls to Lady Bulldogs

The Columbus Lady Titan Volleyball C Team hosted Galena in their final home match, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The visiting Lady Bulldogs took both sets in the best of three match, 25-16; 25-16. Scoring for the Lady Titan in the two-set match.

The final totals in the CNC League Girls Golf standings are in following the final league tournament, Tuesday, in Baxter Springs. The top ten lowest score totals receive All-CNC League designation with number 11-15 earning All-CNC League Honorable Mention status. St.

Titan Soccer Senior, Dallas Scott, scored five goals in the Titans, 5-1, win over Fort Scott. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week. Dallas scored four goals in the first half against the Tigers. He had four within the first 15 minutes.

Pig roast fundraiser planned at Baxter church

A pig roast fundraiser to support missions and ministries of the United Methodist Church in Baxter Springs is planned for October 14 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. The meal will be carry out only. Dinner includes portions of smoked pork, French bread, baked beans, potato salad and a dessert. Tickets are $10.

Columbus routs Parsons, 30-6

The Columbus Fifth and Sixth Grade Football Team hosted Parsons, Saturday, for a 30-6 rout at Titan Stadium. Parsons received the kickoff but didn’t have ball long before turning it over to their hosts. Cam Carter led the first drive with a couple of nice big runs, chewing up yardage.

Pittsburg edges CJHS Seventh in OT

The Pittsburg Purple Dragon Seventh Grade Team jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 34-28, overtime win at Columbus, Monday night. Pittsburg scored the first three touchdowns of the game, collecting six points on a one-yard run and a two-yard run in the first quarter.
