Vikings hand Titans first loss of season

The Parsons Vikings edged the Columbus Third and Fourth Grade Titans, 26-12, Saturday at Titan Stadium, handing the mini-Titan Squad their first loss of the season. Columbus had three wins under their belts when they faced the tough Parsons Team.

The Columbus Lady Titan varsity and junior varsity teams swept Galena in their final home dual, Tuesday, in the best of five matches.

Lady Titan Golf second at BHS

The Columbus Lady Titans placed second at the Baxter Springs Invitational Golf Tournament, Tuesday. The team total of 198 strokes was 18 behind the tournament champion, St. Mary’s-Colgan, who tallied 180 total strokes.

KSHSAA releases new classifications

The Kansas State High School Activities Association has compiled enrollment numbers for the 2023-24 school year for grades 9-12 and released the classifications for all high school activities in the state of Kansas with the exception of football. Football has their own, twoyear classification chart.

Raiders plunder Titans in district 1 bout

The Columbus Titans were shut out for three quarters in the 7-41 loss to the Raiders in Frontenac, Friday night. The host team kept their visitors at bay and added points to the scoreboard early and often.

Lady Titans vie for CNC title today

Lady Titan Golfers are in Baxter Springs today for their final CNC League and regular season tournament. Three Columbus golfers are currently sitting in the top ten of the individual standings with junior, Mallory Thompson in fourth, senior, Reese Grundy, fifth, and freshman, Amory Neely, ninth.

Lady Titan Volleyball winless at quad

The Lady Titan Volleyball ran into some tough competition at the Girard Quadrangular, Thursday. In addition to the Lady Trojans, Pittsburg and Fort Scott competed against Columbus in non-league matches. The Lady Titans came out strong in their first set against Girard, losing 2025.

The Columbus Titan Cross Country Team hosted their invitational meet, Tuesday at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Freshman, Drake Laurance, placed eighth on his home course, as he continues to climb the varsity leader board in his freshman campaign with a time of 20.02.6 minutes.

Columbus Seventh 3-0 after win over Lions

The Columbus Seventh Grade Football Team came away with 34-6 win when they left Baxter Springs, Thursday, following the CCCJL match up with the Lions. The Titans used their high-powered running game to get on the scoreboard first.
