Auxiliary donates to Thanksgiving boxes

Jelly was donated to the Thanksgiving baskets by the Columbus Mercy Auxiliary.Melissa Torchia, filling in for President Brenda Barrett, called the December meeting to order at St. Rose Parish Hall. She led the group with the Pledge of Allegiance and read the Auxiliary prayer. Roll call was taken.

A special trip was in store for Suzette Henderson’s Park Elementary Kindergarten class. Santa Claus made a special early stop in Columbus to visit with youngsters. Acknowledging God’s presence

As Thanksgiving passes and we enter the Christmas season, it is important to acknowledge God’s presence in our lives.
Laikyn Sage Spear surprised her parents with an early arrival, November 17, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was welcomed by her parents, Ty and Heather Spear and sisters, Nicole and Malea Lang.

Laikyn Sage Spear surprised her parents with an early arrival, November 17, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Laikyn weighed six pounds and 12 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.She was welcomed by her parents, Ty and Heather Spear and sisters, Nicole and Malea Lang of Pittsburg.

One day at a time

The rush of the soon approaching holidays can often overwhelm us. Depending on our situation, we may have to plan events we are hosting or attending, purchase gifts for our friends and family, and ultimately, take account of both the money and time we put into these undertakings.
