Those present for the installation were Cora Welch, Audrey Combs, Riley Holmes, McKensie Richards, Zech McCormick, Draven Rasmussen and Katelyn Draeger. Lions Club members Mark Winter and Buddy Derfelt are advisors for the club.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Joshua Dean Gillette, 41, was arrested Saturday by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of aggravated burglary and is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.Corey William Conness, 34, was admitted to the Cherokee County Law Enforcement Center Friday on a court ordered commitment.

The retail committee of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce has a deal for holiday shoppers. The public can purchase $110 in Columbus Christmas Bucks for $100. A limited number of dollars will be made available.
