Visual arts ribbons awarded

Results have been announced in the visual arts classes. They were judged Wednesday, July 9 and Grand and Reserve Champions were announced Tuesday night of the fair. Judges were Sara LeAnn Johnston, Sarah North and Kelly Karsten. Clerks were Lorrie Scott, Mandy Walker and Amanda Rodriguez.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Jonathan Ray Myers, 36, was arrested Sunday by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of possession of certain stimulants and use or possess drug paraphernalia for use in the human body and is being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Irawan Luthfi, 30, was arrested Thursday by Chetopa Police officers on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and was released on $250 bail.
