Chapter V hears about convention

A presentation about the 2026 PEO Convention June 5-7 was on the program at the regular business meeting of Chapter V June 18.Toni Speith and Lisa Howard informed the group about their experiences at the convention.Jane Rhinehart furnished the raffle prize and Jane Ann Turner won the gift card.

Bullard earns degree from Washburn

Washburn University has announced the students in its spring 2026 graduating class. These students completed their courses for certificates, associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees Kennedy Bullard from Columbus graduated with a certificate or degree in Forensic Investigation.

Labette County Jail Report

Jackie Lou Wimp, 55, was arrested Saturday by Oswego Police officers on charges of possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia and was released.

Steven Ray Carnahan, 38, was arrested Sunday by Baxter Springs Police officers on charges of domestic battery; physical contact in rude manner and is being held in lieu of $2,595 bail.
