No political signs on state right of way

It’s a sign of the season – political campaigning and the posting of campaign signs. The Kansas Department of Transportation reminds the public that all political campaign signs or billboards are prohibited from being placed on state highway right of way.

Burglary suspect arrested in Galena

With the help of Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies, Galena Police officers arrested the suspect in a burglary Monday.Galena Police officers were dispatched to 112 East 13th in Galena to investigate a burglary that had occurred.
