KSU announces honors, graduates

Kansas State University has announced their honor students for the fall 2024 semester.The following students earned honors Keegan Harris from Columbus and Cecillia Newby and Autumn Stone from Oswego.KSU has also announced that Autumn Stone, of Oswego has earned her Bachelor of Science degree.

With the storm season just around the corner, Cherokee County Emergency Management Director Matt Haviland is getting ready.The 2025 Storm Spotter training class will be held March 24, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Columbus Unified High School Auditorium .

County’s casino take exceeds $450,000

The revenue from Kansas Crossing Casino in February 2025 was $3,347,953 an increase over February of $138,102.February was an increase over January of this year of $257,490.The Casino’s February revenue yielded $33,479.53 each for Cherokee and Crawford counties and the City of Pittsburg.
