Democrats to meet this Thursday night

Democrats and likeminded citizens are invited to attend the Cherokee County Democratic Party monthly meeting Thursday, August 13 in the Baxter Springs Pizza Hut meeting room. Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be a time of socializing and pizza followed by the business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Labette County Jail Report

Dallas Dean Casey, 42, was arrested Friday by Oswego Police officers on charges of interference with law enforcement officer, possession of paraphernalia and possess opiates, opium, narcotic drug and certain stimulants and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Gregory Renfrow, 31, was arrested Sunday by Quapaw Marshals on charges of pedestrians under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was released on $250 bail.
