Columbus summer rec program begins

The Columbus Recreation Commission is bringing back the Columbus Summer Recreation program, this June and July. The program will feature swimming, bowling, games in the park, arts and crafts, and intriguing adventures. The program runs Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Water outage brings questions

Concerns about Columbus’ water leak and shut off that occurred earlier this month were recently addressed during the latest City Council meeting. The topic was discussed by members of the governing body and Utilities Director Scott Bennett.

Lunch program opens for summer

The Columbus summer adult and Children Lunch program begins today. The program will The program will serve a sack lunch Monday through Friday at no charge at the Walnut Street door on the North Side of the St. Rose Parish Hall. Serving will begin at 10:45 a.m. each day and end at 11:30 a.m.
