Columbus gets clean 2021 audit

Mostly positive results just came from the city of Columbus’s most recent audit report. CPA Auditor Terry Sercer from Diehl, Banwart, Bolton CPA Firm in Fort Scott reviewed the city’s financial statements and relayed his findings to City Council during their meeting on May 16.

Council talks conference room remodel

Change could be around the corner for one of the rooms in the Columbus Community Building. The idea of outfitting one of the building’s small rooms into a conference room was on the table for discussion during the May 23 City Council meeting.
