Duling is March 4-H member of the month

Cherokee County 4-H has announced the member of the month for March. Madison Duling, 12, is a sixth-grade student at Central Middle School in Columbus. Duling is a member of the Spring Valley Sparklers and is currently her club’s Vice President. She is also a 4-H Council representative.

Carlton makes President’s honor roll at UCO

Baxter Springs resident Samantha Evann Carlton has been named to the President’s Honor Roll University of Central Oklahoma for their work in the fall 2021 semester, a distinction given to those who achieve the university’s highest academic standards.

A Valentine theme was chosen for the meeting of the Baxter Springs’ Chapter BT of the P.E.O. Sisterhood Monday, February 21 at 7 p.m. at the Baxter Historical Museum. Mary Beth Smith and Kathryn Aupperle served as hostesses. Members were served cherry dessert.
