Bond approval for HS Street completed

Approval of the general obligation bonds for the High School Street project was completed and delivered to the City Council Monday evening. The total project will be $2.245-million including a government grant through CDBG in the amount of $600,000 and $570,000 from city funds.

Cherokee County Jail Report

Kyle Wayne Myers, 44, was arrested Monday by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of aggravated assault and four counts of failure to appear and is being held in lieu of $12,000 bail.
