Tyler Dalton Garner, 26, was arrested Monday by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft of property or services and is being held in lieu of $26,000 bail.

Cherokee County 4-H Geology, electricity, woodworking results

Results have been announced in the Geology, Electricity, Woodworking and Self-Determined classes. In Geology Katherine King, Spring Valley Sparklers was awarded a purple ribbon in the Novice division. Samuel King and Lucy Zahm, both of Spring Valley Sparklers, were awarded blue ribbons.

A small turnout at the polls on Tuesday brought good news to the USD 493 School District and the $14.7-million bond issue was approved by district voters. The unofficial totals tallied on Tuesday night were 783 votes for approving the bond issue and 312 votes against the issue.
