Cherokee County Deputies arrested a Riverton man Monday morning as part of an investigation into a residential burglary, which occurred over the past couple of weeks.

Results have been announced in the Geology, Electricity, Woodworking and Self-Determined classes. In Geology Katherine King, Spring Valley Sparklers was awarded a purple ribbon in the Novice division. Samuel King and Lucy Zahm, both of Spring Valley Sparklers, were awarded blue ribbons.

Voters approve USD493 bonds

A small turnout at the polls on Tuesday brought good news to the USD 493 School District and the $14.7-million bond issue was approved by district voters. The unofficial totals tallied on Tuesday night were 783 votes for approving the bond issue and 312 votes against the issue.
