Baxter Springs firefighters were dispatched to the house fire at 1614 Lincoln, Baxter Springs at 10:23 p.m. Saturday evening. The property owner Tony Breedlove was in the Cherokee County Law Enforcement center at the time of the fire. The State Fire Marshall’s office was contacted for investigation.

Discovery Park located on the South East corner of the Columbus Square will have a new “Splash Pad” feature is somewhat of a mini water park. The center feature of the park is currently a gazebo.
