David William Rodgers 66, of Columbus, died 12 p.m. Friday September 1, 2023 at the Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo. following a long illness.
Born December 19, 1956 in Baxter Springs, David was the son of Wayne and Jean (Gibson) Rodgers. David attended area Baxter Springs Schools David and Rhonda Lenea Carlisle were united in marriage November 8, 1980 at Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death July 27, 2023.
David worked for Jackson Jordan in Baxter Springs, Jayhawk Chemical Plant and Koch Chemical Plants.
David enjoyed watching horror movies, football, avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved spending time with his grandkids.
David is survived by his children Anthony Dean, Dustin Rodgers and Shantelly Staton. David is to be cremated with no memorial services at this time. Arrangements are by the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home Columbus, KS 611 S. East Ave. Columbus, KS 66725. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
