Barbara Jean Hamilton, 88 of Columbus, died Monday, September 11, 2023 at her home. Born Monday, September 17, 1934, in Hallowell, Barbara was the daughter of Isaac Paul and Cecil (Murphy) Moore. She graduated from Columbus High School, and later married Eddie Hamilton, December 23, 1954 in Columbus.
Barbara worked for the Farm Service Office and was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Galena. She was also a member of the PEO.
Barbara is survived by her husband Eddie Hamilton of Columbus; her sister Velma Robinson of Wichita; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus, Kansas. At this time, no services are planned. The family appreciates your thoughts, but requests privacy at this time.
