Paul A Jaeger, 70, of Columbus, died at 8:04 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home.
Born February 28, 1953 in St. Cloud, Minn., Paul was the son of Thomas and Gertrude (Dye) Jaeger. They preceded him in death.
A lifetime resident of Columbus, Paul graduated from Columbus Unified High School with the class of 1971. He later earned a degree in Computer Science at Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Mo. He played varsity football all four years of his college career. He was recently inducted in the Columbus Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid Columbus Titans Football fan.
Paul was a farmer for several years. He sold his farm in 1997. He was currently employed at Calibrated Forms in Columbus, a position he had held since 1986.
Paul was an active member of Center Christian Church, of Columbus where he was currently a Sunday school teacher. He had formerly served as an Elder and had been on the Church Board. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially going Elk hunting every year in Colo. with family. His greatest joy was his grandkids and would often attend their sports activities.
Paul and Mila Jo Allen were united in marriage August 2, 1975 in Columbus. She survives of the home. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his son, Nathan Jaeger (Amy), in Branson, Mo.; daughter, Stacey Harmon (Keith Pennick), of Joplin, Mo. His brother, Larry Jaeger, of Grand Junction, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Gage, Riley (Nick), Gracie (Tyson), Caden, Layne, Katie, Maverick, and Colbie and one great granddaughter, Ember along with a host of other family and friends as well as Tracy, Kim, Taylor (Evans) and Laney Brown who he considered family.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, September 15 at Center Christian Church. Tom Goettel, Andy Peterman, and Justin Coberly will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made payable to Center Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
