The Joplin (Mo.) Jailbirds became an expansion team for the M.I.N.K. (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas) Collegiate Summer League eight months ago and rolled to the league championship with a 19-11 win in game two of the best of three championship series, July 31, at Joe Becker Stadium in Joplin.
