Titans sink Vikings, take third in Kansas Class 3A, District 1

The Columbus Titan Football Team capped their regular season with a big, Kansas Class 3A, District 1 win over Parson, 30-6, Friday, at Titan Stadium. The win earned Columbus a third place finish in district standings behind Galena who slipped past Frontenac, 14-13, in the district championship.

Week 8 Football Contest results

The Kansas State High School Activities Association Football State Playoffs begin Friday with bi-district contests in Class 3A. Four CNC League Teams have earned a spot in the 3A state bracket. Galena (district one) and Girard (district two) are number one seeds.

The Lady Titan Junior Varsity Squad wrapped up their season with a sweep over the St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panther in a best-offive match. Columbus took the win in three straight sets, 25-10; 25-17; 25-22.

Caney nips Titan JV in double OT

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity Squad lost an overtime heartbreaker, 2026, against a visiting Caney Valley JV Team, Monday at Titan Stadium. The loss ended the Titans season with the varsity post season beginning next week.

CUHS sixth in 3A sub-state seedings

Lady Titan Sophomore, Mallory Thompson, earned a spot on the daytwo list at the Kansas Class 3-1A State Golf Championship, Monday and Tuesday at Carey Park in Hutchinson. Mallory shot a dayone, 94-stroke total, to make the cut and play on day two.
