Week two contest results

The week two contest had a few surprises with the Baxter Springs Lions picking up their second win to start the season 2-0 tying their total number of wins since the 2018 season.

Lady Titan Tennis hosts at Parsons

Lady Titan Sophomore, Hailey Ediger pulled off the only win of the Columbus Invitational Tournament, Thursday. Hosted by the Lady Titans and held at Forrest Park in Parsons. Playing number two singles, Hailey took an 8-0 win over Natalie Scott of Coffeyville.

Riverton, Frontenac Junior High face Titans Thursday

The Columbus Junior High Titans are hosting Riverton and Frontenac, Thursday, at Titan Stadium. Riverton vs. Columbus Eighth grade teams will play at 4:30 p.m. followed by a combined fifth quarter at 6 p.m. Frontenac and Columbus Seventh grade will play at 6:30 p.m. in the finale.

Titan of the Week

Titan Senior, Brett Hamilton threw for four touchdowns and ran for one in the Columbus, 47-7, win over Afton, Oklahoma, Friday night. He is being recognized as Titan of the Week. Brett accumulated 217 yards passing with ten completions on 20 tries.

Lady Titan hosts triangular meet

The Lady Titans were off to a great start with a 25-19 win over Frontenac in the first set of their home triangular meet, Tuesday, at the Columbus High School Gymnasium. But the Lady Raiders overcame their slow start to win the second set, 25-18, and the tie breaker, 25-23.

Lady Lions 1-2 against Frontenac

The Lady Lions ended up on the losing end of a three-set match in Columbus, Tuesday, against Frontenac. Baxter Springs won the opening set 25-18, but lost the next two, 19-25, 20-- 25.

Titan Football introduced

Titan Football Players were introduced at the Meet the Titans Night, August 22, at the CUHS Gymnasium.

Lady Rams remain undefeated

The Riverton Lady Rams moved to 4-0 this season with a single, five-set match against St. Mary’s-Colgan, Tuesday. They won the first three sets, 25-18, 25-13, and 25-- 11. Senior, Jacy Thomasson, was chosen as the Player of the Match.

Trojans squeak past Titan Junior Varsity

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity Football Team came away with their first loss on the season when Girard squeaked past them in a tough, 14-16, contest in their season opener, Tuesday. Neither team scored in the first quarter as the defenses managed the period.

Lady Titan Tennis blanked in Iola

The Lady Titan Tennis Team had a tough day on the courts, Thursday in Iola. Independence and Iola took all matches from the young Lady Titan Team. Columbus hosted a tournament in Parsons yesterday and will be back in Chanute, Thursday at 3 p.m.
