Seniors recognized during big dual win

The Columbus Titan Wrestlers concluded their regular season with a dual win over Chanute, 5516, Tuesday at the CUHS Gymnasium. Seniors, Cal Saporito and Jayden Rodriguez both took wins in their final matches on their home mats.

Former Titan coach inducted to Missouri Sports H of F

Former Titan Basketball Coach, Eric Johnson, was recently inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame with the Class of 2026. The enshrinement ceremony was held in Springfield, Mo. February 1.

Four Mini Titans take wins at Girard

Four Columbus Wrestling Club Wrestlers brought home first place from the Girard Matside Wrestling Tournament, Saturday. Benjamin Hodgson, 6U 46A; Elle Jessee, 10U Girls 66-69; Jonah Prater, 8U Novice 58-A; and SJ Bowin, 8U Novice 61 were all champions in their respective age/weight classes.

Lady Panthers maul Lady Titans

The 14-2 St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers dropped in on the Columbus Lady Titans, Friday, and gave them a mauling to put a damper on their homecoming festivities, 72-15. All-State Senior, Jakayla Davis dropped 14 points in the first quarter on her way to a game-high, 32 points.

Smith, Bowman Battle runners-up

Cajen Smith and Baylor Bowman were one win away from winning a belt in the Mulvane Battle of the Belt, Saturday, finishing as runners-up in the 14U, 235-pound weight class and the 10U, 73-pound weight classes.

Collingsworth wins final home bout

The Columbus Lady Titan Wrestlers celebrated their senior, Brooklyn Collingsworth, during their final regular season, home dual, Thursday, at the Columbus Unified High School Gymnasium. Brooklyn won her match by fall over Mylee Miller in the final bout of the night.

Titans loss to Panthers tale of two halves

The Columbus Titan 2026 Winter Homecoming contest with the visiting St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers was a tale of two halves that ended in a 30-point, 48-78 loss for the home team.Throughout the first eight minutes the teams remained close with the largest lead for the visitors was five points.

Columbus takes 72-56 non-conference win over St. Paul

The Columbus Titans picked up a big non-conference win over St. Paul, Thursday, in a filler game that replaced the Lamar, Mo. contest that was canceled in January. The Titans breezed to the win, 72-56.Junior, Kooper Saiz, kicked off the scoring and Columbus took control early.
